People often ask... What is a health coach?
The term health coach is new language to most but is someone who guides and supports you in your health journey as you make new Habits of Health. A Professional Health Coach is trained to not only help you identify your health goals, but partner with you to ultimately become a proactive participant in your own self-health management. We educate and collaborate to empower others to reach optimal health and/or get to the root of what is ailing them or maybe they just want to get on a healthier path to slow the aging process or keep chronic diseases at bay. We Integrate whole foods, and/or nutrient dense supplementation, stress perception, movement, sleep optimization and so much more as there is not a cookie cutter approach to one's wellness.
A Certified Health Coach not only knows the science behind nutrition and exercise, but how much our choices affect so many aspects of our lives, including the potential for disease and early aging. We work with you to achieve your health and wellness goals by providing science-based, trusted information, guidance and strategies to make better choices and form NEW HABITS to create behavioral changes that benefit your OVERALL LIFE .
Better health is not just a number. As a Health Coach, I will create an individualized solution and provide quality and comprehensive health and wellness services in order to help you reach an overall state of well-being in both body and mind.
I take referrals from Physicians and Holistic Care professionals as well as work directly with you! Through asking a few important questions to learn about your current lifestyle (including any medications) and of course your health goals and also your "why" as that is integral in not only acquiring but sustaining your goals, so I may assess the best way to get you there and we partner to make that happen. Whether you are struggling to lose weight, your Dr. has told you that you have an unhealthy BMI, you are a diabetic, or you have gout which can be hugely related to lifestyle, you are a nursing mom who is ready to start the weight loss process but don't want to "diet" while nursing or maybe you just want overall better health, and through proven science based education, accountability and personal guidance together I can help you achieve the goals you set for yourself.
